a few random thoughts...

*please excuse this random post. i really just wanted to remember a few thoughts and save them so one day my kiddos could look back at what their mommy was like while they were growing up.

-the best thing star 94 ever did was create the "big 90s weekend". chris and i has thoroughly enjoyed listening the past several weekends. and eli is learning all the great songs of mommy and daddy's decade.

-i am no good in big crowds. my sis got married this past saturday (that will have an entire blog entry later on) and i truly don't think i had a good conversation with any one person. i am so a.d.d. that i can't concentrate on a single convo. i am constantly scanning the crowd and can't focus on a single thing. so, if you think i might have looked at you and kept walking or i just left you in the middle of a convo...i am totally sorry. blame it on the disorder! it wasn't on purpose.

-i'm really getting nervous about child #2 coming into our lives. mainly because i don't want eli to feel less loved or paid attention to. it is so hard right now because i want to spend all my time with him but i'm so tired that i just want to sleep to! one cute little memory i want to keep from today was when he picked up 8 books and got up on the couch with me. he was reading them and before i knew it, we were both asleep...my head on a pillow, his head under the neck with a book still in his hand. i think we are both worn out from this weekend.

that last little moment sounds so precious. i don't think that boy will ever wonder how loved he is.

i'm so glad i got to see you a couple of times this week! i have missed you!

such lovely random thoughts. it may be hard to believe (or maybe not after you saw me boo-hoo at CBS tonight), but i was a wreck the hours leading up to Sam's actual birth. i was so worried about poor Jack and couldn't help but think i was letting him down. and the thoughts surfaced again several times over the next couple of weeks, but now that i see them together and watch how jack will do ANYTHING to get his little brother to laugh, i know we've given him one of the best gifts ever...a brother, a best friend!

hang in there, friend. you're on the home stretch! you look way better in my shirt than I did!!
